Card (Tablet) Weaving with Marilyn Romatka
Rescheduled from October 21, 2017 due to scheduling conflict for instructor. This will give you plenty of time to clear your own schedule to enjoy this experience.
Saturday, March 17th, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
PNNAG office, Room 120, Good Shepherd Center
Class fee: $25.00 for members; $35.00 for non-members
Kit fee: To be advised
Card (tablet) weaving is an ancient technique that offers pattern control unparalleled even by multi-harness looms.
Weaving tablets of bone, wood, and leather have been found in archeological digs all over the world.
Our advantage these days is that the tablets are made out of cardboard, so your "loom" is inexpensive and easily obtainable.
This weaving technique produces beautiful, complex bands that are perfect for belts, straps, and bookmarks.
Each student will go home with a deck of cards so that they can continue weaving.
